hours of sleep!
We went to the Beatles Stage at Derby Square....
LEO. Your versions of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' was one of this years' Beatle Week highlights! Thank U!
Here come the masks...
CLUBE BIG BEATLES. Lots of people in the audience! And we got another fantastic gig! This one was also transmitted by Brazilian TV. What an honor! We went to the Cavern Back...
THE BLACKBIRDS. This Hungarian band returned to Beatle Week for the third time in a row. This afternoon we got a more laid back show. Great!
THE SUTCLIFFES! You were so good! Amazing to stand right in front of the stage. And we got two of your beautiful T-shirts as well! Thank U! Just loved your setlist. Here it is...
Time for a new fantastic concert at...
First the amazing band...
APPLE JAM gave us a concert with the 'Songs The Beatles Gave Away', meaning songs they wrote but never recorded themselves. 'A World Without Love', 'Bad To Me', 'I'm In Love', 'Love Of The Loved', 'Hello Little Girl', 'Like Dreamers Do' and many more. Beautifully performed. Time for the Main Act now...
PEPPERLAND were back at the Philharmonic Hall with 'The Beatles Love Show' featuring songs from the 'Love' album and other Beatles love songs. Supported by the female string quartet QVARTIETT, the band has never sounded better. A highlight of Beatle Week 2009! VIP Party at The Adelphi now...
THE CAVERN BEAT from Chicago were back with their eerily accurate and meticulous portrayal of the early BEATLES. What a great band! Time for some inductees now...
SHANNON has greeted us for years with her beautiful BEATLES paintings. And tonight she received a Beatle Week Hall Of Fame. Congrats! One more inductee now...
MIKAEL ISACSSON received tonight's second Beatle Week Hall Of Fame for leading the great Swedish groups PEPPERLAND, and earlier LENNY PANE. We remember 'Abbey Road Live', The Past Masters Concert', this year's 'In My Life' and 'The Beatles In Love' and much, much more. Thanks U and congrats, MICKE! A fantastic band now...
THE OVERTURES were back with another outstanding concert. Tonight's theme: 'The Big Three'. And we got powerful renditions of music by THE KINKS, THE WHO and THE ROLLING STONES. After a short pause they returned with a second set with music by THE BEATLES only. Wow!
